C) This is a photo of a Japanese garden. The water emerges from the bamboo shoot from underground without an electric pump. Water overflows from the rock basin and into the plants below. The rock basin is covered in dark green moss. The garden is surrounded by traditional Japanese architecture and native trees and shrubbery. At this time of day, a shadow is cast over this part of the garden, allowing for such a tranquil environment.
B) Fallingwater - Frank Lloyd Wright
This house is set above a natural waterfall. It combines the natural world with the artificial through its modern design integrated into the forest environment. This is evident where glass meets stone walls and how the sounds of the waterfall permeate the house. Fallingwater is heavily influenced by Japanese architecture. It was proclaimed "best all time work of American architecture" by the American Institute of Architects in 1991.
a) Creative Work
This was painted using water colour paints but I mixed very little water into the paints to give the painting a thicker texture.
